Call Rate Limit Settings

Re: Call Rate Limit Settings
Hi,
I read the Wiki but still unclear on this setting. I was also told 0 means infinite so still not sure what the correct configuration is on these NAPs/trunks? If we want to limit to only allow 5 calls per second incoming do I set Maximum incoming calls per second to 5 and Maximum call burst to 0? Or do I also have to define Maximum call bust with value of 5 so it sets total limit to 5? There is also Maximum calls per second value too which I’m guessing also has to be defined as in this case 0 actually means infinite. Please let me know if setting below is correct as this will limits to 5 only without allowing any burst.
Thank you,

Re: Call Rate Limit Settings
Hi,
Any update on the settings below? Please let me know if those setting are accurate as we are adding multiple NAPs at the moment and I want to ensure these are set properly.
Thanks.

Re: Call Rate Limit Settings
Hello,
This limit is not 100% accurate per call base, but it will give pretty much the expected result upon a period of time.
E.g. if you set it to 5 maximum call/s, the 6th might not be dropped since it is dynamically calculating, but for a period of time, say 15 mins, the stats of the CPS shall be less than 5.
0 means no limit or not set.
So setting like this would mean for this particular NAP:
- Maximum CPS (Calls Per Second):5
- Maximum concurrent calls: 24
Best Regards,
