Can FreeSBC be used as signalling STP for ss7 (sigtran only) network too, or it still depends on the telecom tdm adapter ?

FreeSBC is a SIP back-to-back user agent supporting only SIP as the signaling protocol. Our media gateways and signaling gateways support SS7 and SIGTRAN.
